So as you may have heard many times already, as we really haven’t stopped talking about it since, is that we were crowned Mass Challenge Gold winners on 22nd October. Winning on the night, eternal glory and a rather marvellously large cheque for £25,000. I’ll pause so that you all may applaud.

Thankyou. No really, you’re too kind- keep going. The team at Glisser were obviously so pleased to be named as one of 14 winners on the night. 90 start-up companies had to pitch in front of a panel of experienced judges to then await the announcement of which companies had been named as the final 26.The last 26 having to pitch once more and from them came the Gold and Diamond winners. The evening awards ceremony was held at the Old Truman Brewery with a start-up showcase allowing every company to exhibit their products to the media, event VIPs, supporters and sponsors of Mass Challenge. The evening lead to the final 26 pitching once again…

Yes. Yet again, once more. 1 minute was all we got to tell the room who we were, such an adrenaline filled rush to talk to over 750 people and in under 60 seconds tell them everything there is to know about you. Our founder and supreme overlord Mike Piddock pitched for us, and it was a truly impassioned and tear-jerking speech.

We dined, we laughed and we cried. We are still feeling elated one week on to have been honoured by Mass Challenge, Glisser launched only one year ago and to be given this assurance that we are indeed on the right track means more to us than anything.

The post awards buzz was an atmosphere that one simply cannot replicate entirely with mere words, Won't stop me from trying and typing another few lines though. Winners beamed and surfed giant cheques on a wave of their own euphoria, clambering and hugging one another with fierce weightless pride and no shame. You could feel the strain of four months of tireless work, endless nights, and long phonecalls fade away and be left behind as we moved on as an ensemble, giant cheques in tow, to the eagerly awaited and richly deserved after party.
