Event Marketing Tips: Crowds attract crowds

Most companies would say they’d rather make a few really important and valuable connections at a trade show, than meet hundreds of people who are never likely to be customers.

Salespeople in particular see these as wasted conversations. The reality is that you often don’t know who those valuable connections are, and you will never know how many of them were lost because they never got to your stand in the first place. Instead, create a buzz round your brand with competitions or interesting things to see. Don’t worry that many of the people are not customers – their presence (in numbers) will draw in more and more people, and then you can pick out those that deserve the extra time.
