How do I present via Glisser?
If you are using a projector/large screen to show a room of people your slides, you’ll need to connect your laptop to it.

Log in to Glisser and tap the ‘Present’ button, or simply follow the link on the email our system sends you when you upload a presentation. Pressing button ‘1’ makes the presentation go full screen. You can move slides forwards and backwards using PgDn and PgUp (left and right on a Mac) or a regular ‘slide clicker’. When you select a new slide, this slide will then be made available on the mobile or tablet screens of your audience.

Please note – once you select the final slide, the presentation is considered ‘Presented’ and the interaction statistics will be sent to the glisser.com website for you to view.

How do I tell my audience about my presentation?
Once you’ve uploaded your presentation, you’ll see a unique URL appear (in the format glsr.it/code). You can change this URL to something more memorable, then send it to your audience in advance, or advertise it on any promotion about your presentation, or on Twitter for example. They’ll not see any further than the first slide, until you begin the presentation and move them through the slides one by one. Additionally, at the start of your presentation your code will appear in front of your first slide, and overlaid at the top left of each slide. To remove this overlay, tap X.

What happens if my internet connection breaks?
In the unlikely event of being thrown out of the app, perhaps due to a poor internet connection, just reconnect to the WiFi/3G/4G and refresh your browser.

How do I share slides and run the interactive side of things if I’m also on stage?
Glisser can be run from a laptop on stage, or from an AV desk. On stage, you as presenter have full control of all the interactive features and different screens. Advance slides as normal with a clicker or left/right buttons, and this will also share the slides with your audience's devices. Hit the number '3' button to show audience questions on the main screen, button '4' to show the Twitter wall, and the space bar to reveal poll results.

If the Glisser laptop is being run on the AV desk, as presenter you'll just be able to advance slides using your clicker. You'll need an assistant or technical person to press the other keys to reveal Q&A, Twitter or reveal the poll results.

I’ve already sent my presentation code out, then changed my interactive features and slides- will the audience still see them?
Yes – the interactive features, polling slides, etc. update on all devices if you change them right up to the point you present.

How do I present information from the polling/question social slides?
When you get to a polling/question social slide, your laptop (and the main projector image, if used) will show the question (and list of options if a multiple choice slide). When your audience has had enough time to vote, tap the arrow button or press the Space Bar to show the results as a graph. As more results come in, the graphs will update and adjust.

Can I delete questions or tweets when presenting?
No, but you can clock questions using the moderator function.

Can I see the social interactions when presenting?
Yes – pressing button ‘2’ will show the toolbar down the right hand side of your screen, summarising interactions at that point. Pressing button ‘3’ brings up the Question Wall (press ‘3’ again to hide it) and button ‘4’ brings up the Twitter Wall.

What Quick Keys do I need to know for presenting?
‘1’ – toggles between full screen and window view ‘2’ – shows and hides the interaction summary sidebar ‘3’ – shows and hides audience questions ‘4’ – shows and hides the Twitter Wall ‘Space Bar’ – shows live poll results ‘PgUp / PgDn’ – advances back and forward through slides (Up/Down Arrows on Macs) ‘X’ – shows and hides the presentation code Alternatively press 'H' for Help.

Do I have to reveal the poll results publicly?
Not at all. To reveal poll results, press the space bar when you are on the poll slide. If you don't press the space bar, the results won't be revealed to your audience.

What happens to the audience view when I exit the presentation?
If you exit the presentation the audience can still see the last slide presented, and any slides preceding it, on their device until they choose to exit themselves. If you have permitted, they can also send your slides to their email address, along with any personal notes they have made. Emailed slides are sent in PDF format without your speaker notes.

How do I exit my presentation when finished?
You can exit your presentation at any time by closing the presentation window. However, you must reach the last slide in your presentation for it to be considered ‘Complete’ and for the audience interaction data to be sent to the glisser.com website for you to view and download.
