Onestream enables you to schedule a pre-recorded video so that you can play it as live – otherwise known as simulive. The custom RTMP output can be done via any of our broadcast options that accept RTMP (Facebook Live, Youtube, Vimeo, and Twitch). When signing up to a Onestream account, please ensure you purchase the relevant account for your live streaming needs.
Create a Vimeo Recurring Event in your Vimeo Pro or higher account.
Copy RTMP URL and Stream Key from your Vimeo event.
Add a Social Account in Onestream.
In order to connect Vimeo to OneStream you must select Custom RTMP and copy in the Vimeo RTMP and Stream Key into the Custom RTMP setup. Once added scroll down and Connect to OneStream.
Schedule a stream by clicking on Schedules then Schedule New Stream.
Upload a pre-recorded video file or link a Drive/Dropbox tool.
Once the video has uploaded you may Add Stream Details such as the title, description, and tags. Scroll down to Schedule Stream. Here you can add the desired start date and time of your pre-recorded video. Scroll down once again to Choose Social Account. You must ensure that you select the correct social account and then Schedule.
Access the Vimeo Embed Code URL.
Copy the Embed Code into your Glisser session.
Start your session in Glisser by accessing the Live Control panel and clicking Go Live.
The video will then play at the same time for all of your audience members. If you have any slides these will still need to be managed within your Live Control screen.
