FEATURES / DATA PROTECTION AND GDPR CONSENT FORMS
The first event-tech provider to be GDPR-ready
As former marketers and event professionals ourselves, we were quick to spot the massive impact GDPR would have on the industry. We set to work building the simplest, most flexible means of capturing and storing audience personal data in a compliant way.
Fortunately, enterprise-grade data protection has been at the heart of the company since we first launched – we realise how important this is to businesses and their stakeholders.
Simple set up
Glisser allows you to switch on an audience data capture, and consent form, with one click, so you can be sure that each of your delegates has approved the storage and appropriate use of their personal data. Consent forms can be attached to individual sessions or whole events, providing a quick and easy way to collect a digital record of their responses.
GDPR requires data subjects (your attendees) to approve the specific use of their data, which means you need consent forms that clearly state how you will be using it. One-size-fits-all doesn’t work, so Glisser has made consent forms that are totally editable to your requirements. You can use a standard form across your business, or create a bespoke form for each event or presentation.
Under the GDPR legislation, your audience must pro-actively approve the use of their data. It’s no longer good enough to have a set of terms and conditions that they automatically sign up to, or a pre-ticked check box. Glisser’s interface has been designed to ensure that this criteria has been met, with each user specifically ticking to indicate approval.
Reliable, searchable data
GDPR means that your audience members have the right to ask to see the data you hold on them, and evidence that they have approved its use. Glisser stores all of your delegates’ consent data in a consistent, searchable format, making this process ultra-simple.

Transforming Education Through Technology
Bett 2017 had a goal of driving innovation, and the organisation wanted to introduce a digital companion which would facilitate engagement between audience and speakers, alongside collecting actionable data. This solution would replace their traditional methods of audience engagement and would need to do so for an audience that appreciates consistency and professionalism. After all, this is an event for teachers.
