Investec is an international specialist banking and asset management group. It provides a range of financial products and services to a client base in three principal markets: the United Kingdom, South Africa and Australia.

Investec Global Insights Conference

This year was the 8th year Investec Asset Management’s marketing team were responsible for organising the Investec Asset Management Global Insights Conference. The conference brings together investment analysis and key note speakers for two days of presentations, discussion and debate.

The team knew they had to stay distinctive in order to remain the market leaders, and use the event to build their brand and client relationships.

So as a part of shaking things up Investec Asset Management’s in-house marketing team contacted Glisser. We worked with them for over three months in the run-up to the event so that our software integrated seamlessly with the conference microsite.

We delivered significant improvements in audience engagement, using features including:

  • White-labelling and embedding Glisser into the microsite built especially for the attendees.
  • Using our live polling software to add an interactive element to the presentations. Poll results were then live tweeted on the day as exclusive insight.
  • Using our Q&A function to provide their relationship managers with post event leads to follow-up on.
  • Embedding the final feedback survey into Glisser.

And the result? Investec Asset Management significantly improved their data capture, and successfully used event technology to stay ahead of the curve and improve their audience’s experience on and after the day itself.
