Whitelisting your event

Whitelisting your Glisser Event is an extra security measure allowing event organizers to limit who can and cannot gain entry into their event, on an individual basis.

To whitelist your attendees mean to allow your attendees access to the event; those not whitelisted will simply get a red notification saying “You’re not allowed” and won’t allow them access to the event.

You will find the whitelisting feature in the Data Security section of your event settings on the right-hand side of the screen.

How to whitelist your event:

On the Data Security settings on your event, turn the toggle for Whitelist Attendees to orange.

Below you will find the section “max connections per attendee”, this will allow you to decide how many times a delegate can sign in using their whitelisted email address.

  • Use the arrows on the right-hand side to add or remove attempts to sign in.
  • This allows event managers to control any misuse of the whitelist feature and allows delegates to have access to the event on multiple devices at once – a common practice amongst delegates.
  • If this is set to zero, delegates have infinite uses of any email on the whitelist. Each use will count down the uses left for each email, so logging out of a device won’t provide a new device login access. Therefore, we recommend setting up more than 1 access allowance per email.

If you start presenting an event, and any of your attendees have reached the maximum attempts to log into the event, you can always reset the attempts by pressing the reset cap.

  • This will reset all your attendees’ connection attempts back to the initial number of attempts.
  • When clicking on the reset cap button, the date and time will appear (in GMT time) so you’ll know the last time this has been reset.
  • Reset cap can be used when both at an individual session level or at event level.

Below the toggle, you will find Manage Whitelist, where you’ll find the whitelisting controls box, which will appear on your screen. Now, you can begin to manually add the email address:

  • This can be copied and pasted individually or in a large number of emails.
  • Please be careful not to have commas, full-stops, or signs between the email addresses when pasting more than one email.

You can also search for specific emails to ensure they’ve successfully been whitelisted. Besides each whitelisted email, you’ll see an orange circle with an “X”, where you can delete individual emails from the whitelist.

You may at any time edit or update your whitelist for your event; however, those who already have access, will not automatically be kicked out.
